A wavelength routing system comprises a plurality of nodes (1,2,3,4), and an arrayed waveguide grating (40) having periodicity and optically connected with the plurality of nodes. Each node has a plurality of light sources (TLS) outputting light of different wavelengths to the arrayed waveguide grating, and wavelength demultiplexers (125, 225, 325, 425) having periodicity and outputting the light from the arrayed waveguide grating while demultiplexing. The channel period of the wavelength demultiplexer is different from that of the arrayed waveguide grating and set not smaller than the number of output ports of the wavelength demultiplexer. |
