REMOVING TIME DELAYS IN SIGNAL PATHS

A method for compensating for time delay in a signal process is provided to maintain a constant sound quality by compensating for a time synchronization difference between a down-mix signal and spatial information. An audio signal processor system includes a first decoder(400b), a converter(500b), and a second decoder(200b). The first decoder is configured to receive a down-mix signal and spatial information. The converter is connected to the first decoder and configured to perform a complex domain conversion on the down-mix signal. The second decoder is connected to the converter and compensates for a time delay due to the conversion on at least one of the converted down-mix signal and the spatial information. The second decoder is configured to combine the converted down-mix signal with the spatial information.
