ANTHRAPYRIDONE COMPOUND, SALT THEREOF, MAGENTA INK COMPOSITION AND COLORED BODY

Disclosed is a novel anthrapyridone compound represented by the formula (1) below or a salt thereof. The anthrapyridone compound or a salt thereof enables to provide a magenta dye having a hue with high clarity suitable for inkjet recording and excellent storage stability. A recorded matter using such a magenta dye is excellent in fastness. (1) (In the formula, R¹ represents a benzyl group (wherein a phenyl group constituting the benzyl group may further be substituted by a methyl group, a chlorine atom or a nitro group), a 1-naphthylmethyl group or the like; and R² represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like.)
