<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a detected object such as a foreign matter with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This image processor acquires image data expressing a sheet-like object including the detected object (step Sa), and changes a gradation value of its end part area into "0 (white)" (step Sb). Thereafter, the image processor applies image processing such as smoothing processing, expansion processing, or binarization processing to the image data to extract an object (step Sc), and specifies an object corresponding to the detected object from the extracted objects (step Sd).
