PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PM stepping motor capable of reducing thickness. SOLUTION: An A phase outer stator 3a includes: a yoke Y<SB>1</SB>having a polar tooth T<SB>1</SB>and a core piece C<SB>1</SB>in a direction of Z<SB>1</SB>; a yoke Y<SB>2</SB>having a polar tooth T<SB>2</SB>and a core piece C<SB>2</SB>in a direction of Z<SB>1</SB>; a yoke Y<SB>3</SB>having a polar tooth T<SB>3</SB>and a core piece C<SB>3</SB>in a direction of Z<SB>2</SB>; a yoke Y<SB>4</SB>having a polar tooth T<SB>4</SB>and a core piece C<SB>4</SB>in a direction of Z<SB>2</SB>; a case half body 1a including an edge plate part E having a central hole H<SB>1</SB>, core holes h<SB>1</SB>, h<SB>2</SB>in which the core pieces C<SB>1</SB>, C<SB>2</SB>are inserted, and an insertion hole N in which the polar teeth T<SB>1</SB>-T<SB>4</SB>are inserted; an assembly plate P provided with a central hole H<SB>2</SB>and core holes h<SB>3</SB>, h<SB>4</SB>in which the core pieces C<SB>3</SB>, C<SB>4</SB>are inserted in away that it closes the case half body 1a; a bobbin-less coil L<SB>1</SB>sandwiched between the edge plate part E and the assembly plate P and having a hollow part Q<SB>1</SB>in which the core pieces C<SB>1</SB>, C<SB>3</SB>are inserted; and a bobbin-less coil L<SB>2</SB>sandwiched between the edge plate part E and the assembly plate P in a way that it has a hollow part Q<SB>2</SB>in which the core pieces C<SB>2</SB>, C<SB>4</SB>are inserted.
