PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer having excellent heat-resistance and transparency, low water-absorption, excellent alkali resistance and excellent contactness and adhesiveness to various substrates and useful for optical use. SOLUTION: The alicyclic polyether polymer is a homopolymer of an alicyclic ether structure unit (I) or a polymer composed of the alicyclic ether structure unit (I) and an ether structure unit (II) (E is a bivalent hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent, excluding a hydrocarbon group to give an -E-O- group same as the alicyclic ether structure unit (I)) and having an alicyclic ether structure unit (I) ratio of≥50 mass%.
