An envelope opening device is provided to automatically open an envelope by sucking one side of the envelope hung on an envelope hanger through a sucking device. An envelope opening device includes an envelope hanger(20) and an envelope sucking device(30). A plurality of envelopes are hung on the envelope hanger. The envelope sucking device sucks one side of the envelope hung on the envelope hanger to open an envelope. The envelope sucking device has a frame(31), a pair of sucking units(32), and a driving unit(33). The frame forms an external shape of the envelope sucking device and has a predetermined height to receive the envelope hanger inside. The sucking units are installed at both sides of an upper part of the frame to be sucked at one side of the envelope. The driving unit drives the sucking units sucked at the one side of the envelope to open the envelope.
