PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the data transfer amount, when an information center transfers a retrieval result to an on-vehicle terminal, in an on-vehicle information system.

SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle information transmitting method, a data table included in the on-vehicle terminal 110 and a data table included in the information center 180 have the same management number about the same content, the management number of the content is transmitted, when a result retrieved by the information center is transferred to the on-vehicle terminal 110; and detailed information of only the content that has not been recorded on the data table of the on-vehicle terminal 110 is transmitted.
