The present invention relates to the end nozzle of an exhaust system of a land motor vehicle, which consists of a tube (5) with a simple axisymmetric shape, with a periphery, particularly a round or oval periphery, with no sudden variations and which consists, from upstream to downstream when considering the direction in which the exhaust gases from the vehicle pass through it, of a first portion (50) of substantially constant cross section, of a second portion (51) of increasing cross section, and of a third portion (52) of substantially constant cross section, with a profile of substantially constant shape over these three portions, that is to say with no modification to the overall shape of this cross section, the wall of this nozzle, viewed in cross section on a longitudinal mid-plane, adopting the shape of a profile which can be drawn inside a curve, characterized in that the central part of this curve, which corresponds to the second portion (51) of increasing cross section, contains a point of inflexion (PI).
