6-Aminoalkyl-benzoxazolinone or -benzothiazolinone derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new: R1 = H or alkyl; n = 1 or 2; X = O or S; R2 = H or alkyl; R3 = (CH2)mR4; m = 1 - 4; R4 = cycloalkylamino, dicycloalkylamino, N-cycloalkyl-N-alkylamino or a heterocyclic gp. of formula (i) opt. substd. by aryl or aralkyl: s = 4 - 8; or NR2R3 is a gp. of formula (i) substd. by aryl or aralkyl; where aryl is phenyl or naphthyl opt. substd. by halo, alkyl, OH, alkoxy and/or CF3; aralkyl is phenylalkyl or naphthylalkyl opt. substd. by halogen, alkyl, OH, alkoxy and/or CF3; alkyl is 1-6C alkyl; alkoxy is 1-6C alkoxy; and cycloalkyl is 3-9C cycloalkyl.
