<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily and speedily performing processing such as group member determination. <P>SOLUTION: A target image to extract a face image therefrom is picked up, a plurality of human face portions are detected from the target image obtained by imaging, the detected face portions are segmented and a plurality of face images is extracted.
