摘要 An automatic traffic control system is provided to increase traffic control efficiency by transmitting an image captured in first and second fixed IP(Internet Protocol) cameras, in real time by connecting a control unit and the IP camera through the optic LAN(Local Area Network). In a photographing unit of an automatic traffic control system, first and second fixed IP cameras are installed to face each other, to monitor the surrounding situations. A dome-shaped IP camera is panned and tilted to take a picture of an object. A speaker outputs a voice signal transmitted through a communication unit. An electric signboard displays an SMS(Short Message Service) message transmitted through the communication unit. The communication unit is connected with the photographing unit near the photographing unit to transmit images outputted from the photographing unit, through the network. A control unit decides whether to control vehicles or not, on the basis of data transmitted from the communication unit. In the control unit, a keyboard device inputs text words. A word-voice conversion unit converts the text input by the keyboard device, into a voice signal and transmits the voice signal to the speaker. A camera control unit controls the dome-shaped IP camera through the communication unit. An SMS message transmitting unit transmits an SMS message to the electric signboard. As software of the control unit, a vehicle detector(203) detects a number plate of a vehicle from an image transmitted from the dome-shaped IP camera. UPPC(204) shows the connection state with the photographing unit. A voice text(205) controls voice outputted from the speaker. UPLPR(206) recognizes words from the number plate of the vehicle. UPMS(207) monitors the traffic situation of the vehicles for the photographing unit. UPPS(208) outputs the reception state of images captured by the first and second fixed IP cameras and the dome-shaped IP camera, as the form of a database. UPM(210) drives and controls the IP cameras.
