A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent degradation of an E-type polarizer due to moisture by disposing protection films on both sides of the E-type polarizer. Lower and upper substrates(211,212) are attached to face each other. A liquid crystal layer(225) fills a cell gap formed between the lower and upper substrates. The first O-type polarizer(217) is separately disposed at one side of the liquid crystal layer. An E-type polarizer(214) and the second O-type polarizer(213) are separately disposed at the other side of the liquid crystal layer and stacked. The first protection film(216) is attached on one surface of the E-type polarizer. The second protection film(215) is attached to one surface of the second O-type polarizer. The stacked E-type polarizer and the second O-type polarizer have the same transmission axis.
