ELECTRO-PHORETIC DISPLAY PANEL, ELECTRO-PHORETIC DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

An electrophoretic display panel, an electrophoretic display device having the same, and its driving method are provided to reduce a unit cost by simplifying a fabrication process, and improve an aperture ratio of a pixel part. A display panel(110) includes a display switching element(TRD) connected with a display gate line(GLD) and a data line crossing the display gate line, and a sensing switching element(TRS) connected with a pixel electrode electrically connected with the display switching element, the sensing gate line and the data line to sense a quantity of light. An electrophoretic film(130) is combined with the display panel and includes charged particles. The electrophoretic film includes a common electrode facing the pixel electrode, and the charged particles are interposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. The electrophoretic film further includes a color filter layer formed at a position corresponding to the region where the pixel electrode is formed.
