A zoom lens and an imaging apparatus are provided to suppress deterioration of imaging performance due to eccentricity through decrease of lens groups movable along an optical axis. A zoom lens(1) includes first to fifth lens groups(L1~L5). The fifth lens group is composed of a fifth-a lens group(L5a) with negative refractive power, a fifth-b lens group(L5b) with positive refractive power, and a fifth-c lens group(L5c) with negative refractive power, which are sequentially located from an object to an image. The fifth-a lens group is composed of a negative lens(L51) with a strong concave surface facing the image and a negative lens(L52) with a strong concave surface facing the object, which are sequentially located from the object to the image. The image is displaced by moving the fifth-b lens to have a component vertical to an optical axis. The zoom lens satisfies the following conditional expression: -4.0<f5c/f5a<-1.5, wherein the f5a is a focal length of the fifth-a lens group, and the f5c is a focal length of the fifth-c lens group.
