An electric filter is provided to remove specific ion materials contained in water for drinking water efficiently, by depositing the specific ion materials on an electrode plate through electrolysis. An electric filter comprises an electrolyzing unit(10) and a controlling unit(20). The electrolyzing unit has an electrolyzing room(1) for electrolyzing water. The electrolyzing room is formed by disposing a circular type positive electrode plate(12) and a circular type negative electrode plate(13) within a filter case(11). The negative electrode plate is disposed outside the positive electrode plate at a predetermined interval. The controlling unit has a control plate(22) installed within a controller case(21). The control plate supplies electric power to the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, or shuts off the supply of the electric power. Further, an inlet is formed at lower side of the electrolyzing unit.
