<p>A liquid treatment system (1) is disclosed. The system comprises a housing (3) having an inlet (7) and an outlet (9). A flow conduit is provided between the inlet (7) and the outlet (9) and an array of electrodes is provided that extends across the flow conduit. The electrodes are connected to power supply terminals so that adjacent electrodes in the array are anodes and cathodes. In one embodiment, the electrodes are mounted in drawers that can be inserted and removed from the housing to facilitate maintenance.</p>
