<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the deviations of transmission rate, when distributing a broadcast TS that is converted into an IP packet. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmission rate control unit 13, an internal clock is corrected periodically, based on a time generated by a time generating unit 14, and the corrected clock is used to generate the same time stamp as a system of TTS that is added to a TS packet. In this state, an IP packet outputted from an IP transmission processing unit 12 is fetched, a TTS added to an arbitrary TS packet in the IP packet is acquired, and the TTS is compared with a time stamp generated inside to determine whether they match, If they match, a TTS of the next TS packet is fetched; if they do not match, the difference between the time indicated by the TTS and the time indicated by the internally generated time stamp is determined; a transmission rate correction value corresponding to a differential value is calculated; the calculated correction value is issued to the IP transmission processing unit 12; and the transmission rate is corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
