PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor sufficiently satisfying both requirements for saving an installation space and enduring heavy load and sufficiently suppressing generation of vibration caused by a polygonal effect. SOLUTION: A chain 3 connecting a plurality of steps 5 is composed of a plurality of outer link plates 11, a plurality of inner link plates 12, a plurality of metal rollers 13 rotatably arranged between the outer link plates 11 and the inner link plates 12 through pins 14, and the loads of the steps 5 are supported by the rollers 13 built into the chain 3. On a guide rail 6 guiding the movement of the steps 5, a cushioning material 18 is arranged on a rolling surface on which the metal rollers 13 roll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
