PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate improved in a dead holding property which is a function to keep a lid material open in order to facilitate work to pour hot water into an instant food such as cup noodles in a container when the instant food is eaten and the lid material made of the laminate. SOLUTION: A substrate layer, a layer of an ethylene copolymer having unsaturated carboxylic acid ester units as a resin for sand lamination, a layer of aluminum foil or a highly stretched thermoplastic resin which is a material having the dead holding property on the resin, and as required a sealing material layer are laminated in turn to obtain the laminate which is thin and improved in the dead holding property.
