A system and method for remote monitoring and/or management of infusion t herapies. A user can monitor and manage server-connected pumps at a remote l ocation, such as a computer or PDA. Pumps located at an institution, such as a hospital or patients home, are connected, for example, via the Internet t o a server that includes a database of information. A user can operate the p ump, from a remote location, by using an interface displayed on the remote s ite. The operator can manage pump operations by use of the interface. In thi s context, the user can turn the pump on and off, select infusion rates, dos e amounts, etc. all from the convenience of the remote location.
