<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration-type actuator having high durability by reducing a sliding loss and having a contact member capable of acquiring stable contact while preventing the generation of an abnormal sound. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration-type actuator has a structure in which contact members 9 having spring performance are attached to a vibrator 102 deformable for driving, and each contact member 109 is composed of a protrusion 103 contacting with driving object and a plurality of fixed portions 107 fixed to the vibrator 102. The contact members 109 are provided with conversion portions 111 between the protrusion 103 and the fixed portions 107. The conversion portion 11 has a slope slanted to a contact surface 104 with the driving object which is provided at the protrusion 103 and extends to the opposite side of the contact surface 104. The conversion portion 111 converts a change in a relative distance between the fixed portions 107 generated by the deformation of the vibrator 102 into the displacement of the contact surface 104 in different directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
