PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can efficiently divide a face consisting of five or more edges. SOLUTION: Regarding a face consisting of five or more edges, a user is made to designate so as to divide the edges into four groups while considering the edges belonging to the same group as one side, and then, the face consisting of the four sides is divided into a grid shape so as to generate a mesh. More concretely, a spline curve is formed from the edges in the same group while forming a spline face composed of the four formed spline curves, and then, the spline face is divided into a grid shape so as to generate a mesh.
