ANTI-SENSE OLIGONUCLEOTIDE FOR GENE SILENCING OF PACSIN-3 AND COMPOSITION FOR SUPPRESSING NKT LYMPHOCYTE ACTIVITY COMPRISING IT

An anti-sense oligonucleotide is provided to induce the gene silencing of PACSIN-3 and inhibit activity of NKT(natural killer T) lymphocyte, so that the oligonucleotide is useful for prevention and treatment of autoimmune disease caused by NKT lymphocyte. A double-stranded siRNA(small interfering RNA) for gene silencing of PACSIN-3 has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:5 and forms a hairpin structure in 5-15 bp of loop region. A recombinant viral vector contains the double-stranded siRNA. A method for preventing or treating autoimmune disease comprises the double-stranded siRNA. The in vitro activity of NKT cell is inhibited through down-regulation of the PACSIN-3 gene capable of communicating with CD1d, which transfers a glycolipid antigen to NKT cells, by the double-stranded siRNA of SEQ ID NO:5.
