<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a prescribed pattern without writing it to a medium for an electronic writing instrument on which the prescribed pattern is printed, the pattern being readable to an electronic writing instrument such as an electronic pen. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic writing instrument 1 includes: a writing penholder 11 which can write to a medium 5 for an electronic writing instrument, on which a prescribed pattern 41 is printed, the pattern being readable to the electronic writing instrument 1; and a tracing penholder 12 which can not write to the medium 5 for an electronic writing instrument, wherein the writing penholder 11 and the tracing penholder 12 are changeably arranged as a nib. The electronic writing instrument 1 also includes a generation means 31 for generating a coordinate value from the prescribed pattern 41 which is printed in the vicinity of a contact part of the nib to the medium 5 for an electronic writing instrument. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
