The method involves subjecting plastic to a thermal treatment, and material-dependently determining required temperature and holding time. The temperature lies above ambient temperature and below fusing temperature of the plastic. The plastic is designed as a partial-crystalline system and exhibits a deterioration-determined degradation e.g. elongation of break, of mechanical characteristic values.
