<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller to improve control precision even when an input value to a control algorithm based on one ofΔmodulation,ΔΣmodulation andΣΔmodulation algorithm shows only either a normal value or a negative value when controlling a control target. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 1 to control the cam phase Cain of an air inlet cam 5 is provided with an ECU 2. The ECU 2 calculates a limiting value r1 of a reference input for controlling the cam phase Cain to become a target cam phase Cain_cmd by formulas (1) to (9), and calculates a limiting value deviation r2 between the limiting value r1 and an offset value Vcain_oft, and modulates the limiting variation r2 by the algorithm of formulas (11) to (13) based on aΔΣmodulation algorithm to calculate a modulation output u'', and adds the offset value Vcain_oft to a gain adjustment value u calculated by gain-adjusting the modulation output u'' to calculate a control input Vcain to an electromagnetic cam phase varying mechanism 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
