<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information provision system enabling construction of more friendly relationship between users. <P>SOLUTION: The information provision system includes a portable terminal, capable of reading a two-dimensional code, and a server for storing information. A handout, having the attached two-dimensional code which embeds an identification code having attached information mutually different to identify a URL and a user, is distributed to attendees attending a certain meeting. On receiving the handout, the attendees access the URL from the portable terminal by reading the two-dimensional code, and transmit each identification code to the server. Further, the server identifies a storage area accessible from the portable terminal, and provides the attendees with information stored in the identified storage area via the portable terminal.
