VERTICAL CYCLONE BURNER WITH ADVANCED FUEL REGULATION

Improvement to a type of ground-fuel burner usually used to burn fuels with a low volatile content, known in the industry as a 'vertical cyclone burner', which generally comprises two contiguous cyclones (1) supplied by the same primary air/fuel mixture transport pipe (2). The improvement consists in incorporating, into the input pipe (2) common to both cyclones, a hinged deflector (10) for regulating, depending on its position, the share of the primary air/fuel mixture supplied to each cyclone without affecting the primary air/fuel ratio of the mixture injected into the boiler, the complete shut-off of one of the cyclones, in such a way that all of the burner's supply is channelled to the other cyclone, being considered an extreme working condition. As an additional aspect, the invention provides for the installation of a pipe (24) which connects the venting ducts (4) of the two cyclones so as to supply air to one of them in the case where its fuel input is greatly restricted by the deflector (10), to ensure a minimum speed at its discharge nozzle (3).
