<p>An article of furniture dedicated to rest, such as a divan or a bed (1), provided with a lighting device comprising at least a substantially-vertical backrest or a headboard (4), provided with rest legs (3), comprises at least a presence sensor (5) for detecting presence of an individual within a delimited field of detection and a lighting device (6) connected to the sensor (5), which lighting device (6) is activated to light up on command of the sensor (5), the at least a sensor (5) being fixed to the backrest or headboard (4) in a position in which at least a portion of a body of a person using the divan or bed (1) falls within the field of detection only when the person passes from a lying position into a raised position, such as to automatically activate the lighting device.</p> |
