<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a fuel cell system capable of preventing the deterioration of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: When the fuel cell system is started (S11), a carbon monoxide supply step of supplying fuel, containing more carbon monoxide to the fuel cell and a power generation starting step (S15) of starting the power generation of the fuel cell from a first temperature lower than an normal power generation temperature are included. Moreover, when the fuel cell system is stopped, the carbon monoxide supply step, a cell-cooling step for cooling the fuel cell to a second temperature lower than the usual power generation temperature of the fuel cell, and a power generation stop step which is set at a later stage of the cell cooling step and stops the power generation of the fuel cell are included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
