PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of preventing generation of rust of a rolling bearing, by efficiently discharging a coolant leaked out via a mechanical seal. SOLUTION: This water pump has a fixed member 20 having a fixed flange 21 and a fixed cylinder part 22 installed on an installation surface 12 of a housing 10, a rotary member 50 having a rotary cylinder shaft 51, a rotary flange 52 and a pulley 53 for arranging an impeller 60 arranged in a water chamber 11 of the housing 10 in one end part, the rolling bearing 31 arranged between the fixed cylinder part 22 and the pulley 53, and the mechanical seal 40 arranged between the fixed cylinder part 22 and the rotary cylinder shaft 51. A service hole 54 for pressing in an inner ring 32 of the rolling bearing 31, is formed in the rotary flange 52. A single or a plurality of communicating holes 56 communicating a space part S between the rotary flange 52 and the mechanical seal 40 with a cylinder inside space part 51a of the rotary cylinder shaft 51, are penetratingly arranged in the rotary cylinder shaft 51.
