摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of fully reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The drive has a piezoelectric element expanded and contracted by applying a voltage; a drive member which drives in the expanding and contracting directions associated with the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element; a moving member brought into frictional connection to the drive member; and a control section for controlling the applied voltage. The control section sequentially executes an extension step 50 for making the piezoelectric element extend and a stop step 60 for making the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element step. The extension step 50 includes a first acceleration step 51 for making the drive member that makes it drive in the extension direction of the piezoelectric element accelerate; and a first deceleration step 52 for making the drive member that makes it drive in the extension direction of the piezoelectric element decelerate, after the first acceleration step 51. The absolute value of the acceleration of the drive member in the first deceleration step 52 is larger than that in the first acceleration step 51.
