<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which prevents unnecessary charge to a smoothing capacitor free from an influence by the leaked current components of a diode, in an open switching means, without adding a special circuit means, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner is equipped with a switching means driving circuit 12, an inverter driving circuit 11, and a short circuit signal sending means 17. It can keep the inter-terminal voltage of a smoothing capacitor 6 at roughly 0 V by short-circuiting the inverter circuit 13 when the switching means 2 is open, whereby to prevent unnecessary charge to the smoothing capacitor 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
