PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image stabilizer that can effectively use the space inside the case for further miniaturization. SOLUTION: The image stabilizer has a lens barrel 53 which is provided between the case 10a and the substrates 22 arranged in it and supported free to move in the direction perpendicularly crossing the optical axis between them to hold the photographing optical systems 51, 52 to input the object light flux to the imaging means 54; a vibration sensor 21 to detect the vibration of the case 10a; and a lens barrel driver to move the lens barrel 53 based on the information detected by the vibration sensor 21. The lens barrel driver is composed of a permanent magnet 58p arranged on the lens barrel 53 and a coil 59p facing the permanent magnet 58p inside the case 10a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
