Preparation of polyurethane dispersion comprises producing a polyurethane in the presence of at least a solvent comprising (a) a mixture of at least one N-(cyclo)alkylpyrrolidone and at least one di(cyclo)alkyl dipropylene glycol ether, and (b) at least one N-(cyclo)alkylcaprolactam, where the (cyclo)alkyl residue of the N-(cyclo)alkylpyrrolidone exhibits at least 2 carbon atoms; and subsequently dispersing the polyurethane. An independent claim is included for the polyurethane dispersion.
