<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting failures in which smooth exhaust of inner substances is not disturbed and exhaust of various inner substances can be detected and the failures of a storage battery mechanism can be precisely detected. <P>SOLUTION: The device for detecting the failures is composed of a safety valve 5006 which is provided on a case 5014 and opens when a predetermined condition regarding a status of a battery cell 5002 is satisfied, an exhausting pipe 5004 of which one end is combined with the safety valve 5006 and through which a substance exhausted from the battery cell 5002 is made to flow, an optical sensor 4000 which is provided inside the exhausting pipe 5004 and detects a light from a light emitting diode 4002 and an ECU which determines if the battery cell is failed, based on a detected light volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
