<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming unit equipped with a reformer which has a simple structure and enables stable reforming with a high heat efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A reforming vessel 152 has a reforming chamber 152C demarcated and formed therein, provided that the reforming chamber 152C is an almost annular space to be packed with a reforming catalyst. A plurality of feed tubes 153A arranged in a circle are connected to one axial-direction end of the reforming vessel 152 to supply a material gas to the reforming chamber 152C. A plurality of double-tube parts 153C having double-tube structures are formed by arranging return tubes 153B fitted into each feed tube 153A almost coaxially. One end of the return tubes penetrates the reforming chamber 152C so that a reformed gas generated can flow into this. The reformer ensures a packing volume of the reforming catalyst while improving the efficiency of heat exchange between the material gas and the reformed gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
