REFORMER, REFORMING UNIT AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming unit equipped with a reformer which has a simple structure and enables efficient and stable reforming.

SOLUTION: A tubular heating part 326, which has a diameter smaller than that of a reforming vessel 152, is disposed so as to be located nearly on the center axis of the reforming vessel 152 having a reforming chamber 152C which is an almost annular space. A burner 151 is placed at a position nearly corresponding to the end of the reforming chamber 152C. A tubular radiant part 327 is placed so that a combustion gas of the burner 151 circulates between the outer periphery of the radiant part 327 and the inner periphery of the heating part 326. The radiant part 327 has a diameter smaller than that of the heating part 326 and has a bottom formed by a blocking plate 327A which blocks one axial-direction end of the radiant part 327 facing the burner 151. This enables efficient heating of the radiant part 327 and the heating part 326 and enables stable treatment by preventing temperature distribution within a reforming catalyst layer 152D in the axial direction.
