<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print reliable present time when print data is received. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus has a print data receiving unit which receives the print data, a time acquisition unit which acquires the present time from a time providing server which provides the present time by transmission when the print data receiving unit receives the print data, and a printing unit which prints the present time, which is acquired by the time acquisition unit, on a medium together with the print data.
