PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient cooling operation by preventing increase of input while using R290 of high freezing capacity as a refrigerant. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator having a refrigerating cycle constituted by connecting a compressor 10, a condenser 12, an evaporator 18 for cooling a freezing temperature zone, and a throttle device 16 disposed between the evaporator 18 and the condenser 12, and using R290 as the refrigerant, the throttle device 16 may be composed of a capillary tube 20 having a length of 3 m or more, formed by connecting the plurality of capillary tubes 22, 24 in series, or formed by connecting an expansion valve 26 of which an opening is adjustable and the capillary tube 28 in series.
