A UCC(User Created Contents) providing server capable of utilizing popular UCC as an AD(ADvertisement) medium and a method thereof are provided to enable a UCC provider to receive rewards by making advertisers bid for the popular UCC and merging AD of the advertisement selected as a successful bidder into the popular UCC. A database(20) stores UCCs(8) received from a plurality of UCC providers(6). A UCC providing server(10) includes a merger(30) for selecting the popular UCC among the UCCs stored in the database, transmitting bidding condition information including the information for the popular UCC to a plurality of advertisers(2), and receiving an AD image(4) and a bid request including a bid option from the advertisers. The merger selects the advertiser presenting the optimal bid option as a successful bidder by responding to the received bid request, and merges the AD image of the successful bidder into the popular UCC. The bid option includes at least one a bid price, an AD period, a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) moved by click, an AD image file, an AD image explanation, and a CPC(Cost Per Click) or a CPP(Cost Per Play) of the merged UCC. |
