The invention relates to a carpet and floor brush for a vacuum cleaner (10), which comprises a suction channel (16) which is open on the suction mouth (14), a front edge which extends in a transversal manner in relation to the main direction of movement and at least one first and one second base roller (18, 20) which are arranged at different distances in relation to the front edge. The first base roller (18) is arranged upstream from the suction mouth (14) and the second base roller (20) is arranged downstream from suction mouth (14) in order to improve the frontal suction properties of the vacuum cleaner brush whilst preserving the good anti-frictional properties. The invention also relates to a carpet and floor brush for a vacuum cleaner, comprising the inventive brush (10).
