<p>A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to determine a touch and a touch position correctly by utilizing previous touch position information as current touch position information when the touch occurs along a row or column direction. A display panel includes a plurality of pixels. A plurality of sensing units(SU) are formed on the display panel in row and column direction, and generate a device output signal based on a touch. A detection signal processor(800) generates detection data based on the device output signal. A touch determiner(700) converts row or column coordinates of a touch position, or keeps previous coordinates by classifying sensing data into row and column direction, and comparing a reference value of each direction with the sensing data, and determines the touch depending on the number of times the row or column coordinates are converted. The touch determiner compares a representative value among a plurality of sensing data of the row and column direction with the reference value. The representative value is the biggest value among the sensing data. The touch determiner determines coordinates of the representative value as the touch position when the representative value is bigger than the reference value.</p> |
