A hydraulic lash adjuster is provided to reduce lift loss by reducing the oil flow space between an upper plunger and a main body through the movement of a variable valve. A hydraulic lash adjuster includes a variable valve(10), a leaf spring driving board(20), a lash adjusting spring(30), and a restoring spring(40). The variable valve is mounted to slide on the lower outer surface of a lower plunger. The leaf spring driving board is arranged close to the top of a plunger spring and apart from the rear portion of the variable valve. The lash adjusting spring is arranged on the outer surface of the lower plunger, and pushes the variable valve by the leaf spring driving board during the downward movement of an upper plunger. The restoring spring is positioned on the leaf spring driving board, and permits the lash adjusting spring to return to the original position during the upward movement of the upper plunger. |
