PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle with improved controllability and stability when running straight ahead and turning, and also with improved grip durability and high load durability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 10 for a motorcycle has a bead core 1, a carcass 2 extending between bead parts 11, a spiral belt 3 arranged on the outside in a tire radial direction, and at least two belt layers 4 arranged on the outside in the tire radial direction. When an area with a width of 10-35% of a tread development width from a tread end is designated as a tire side and other areas are designated as a tire central part, at least two belt layers 4 are made of crossing belt layers crossing with each other at 15-75°relative to a tire peripheral direction. Also, a cushioning rubber layer 5 is arranged between the spiral belt 3 and the belt layer 4 on a tire side, and between at least two belt layers 4 at the tire central part.
