<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone by which a conversion candidate can be selected in a short time even when there are many conversion candidates. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion candidate in a center column of a first row among conversion candidates displayed in five rows by three columns in a conversion candidate display area 43 is selected first as a selected candidate, and a cursor 44 is displayed while associated with the conversion candidate. Dial keys "0" to "9", and "*" and "#" are assigned to conversion candidates in rows other than the first row where the selected candidate is included. Consequently, conversion candidates in the first row which are small in number of times of operation when the selected candidate is changed by operating a direction input key can be switched to a selected candidate only by operating direction input keys without assigning no dial key thereto; and conversion candidates in second and succeeding rows which are large in number of times of operation can be switched to a selected candidate by operating the dial keys and the conversion candidates can be selected in a short time even when the number of conversion candidates is large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
