PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple fitting method which can be used for, for example, preventing the loading of wrong colors irrespective of a vertical type or a lateral type. SOLUTION: A plurality of feeding channels at different positions in the same phase-change ink-jet printer are loaded with corresponding ink sticks among the ink sticks 30A to 30D of a plurality of types via loading openings 24A to 24D thereof. Fitting elements 88A to 88D for preventing the loading of wrong colors are provided at the sticks 30A to 30D, respectively. Positions of the fitting elements 88A to 88D on the sticks 30A to 30D are sequentially shifted corresponding to positions of the corresponding loading openings 24A to 24D on a key plate 26. Upon loading operation, surfaces on which the fitting elements 88A to 88D are provided are caused to face sides of the fitting elements 90A to 90D so as to compare positions of both the fitting elements.
