<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate discrimination device 22 that can discriminate the type of printing plate and preliminarily position the printing plate while rendering a predetermined corner as a reference to supply to a punching device 23. <P>SOLUTION: The printing plate is prepared in a square form with one predetermined corner as a reference. The discrimination device includes: a conveying means 32 that conveys the printing plate while directing one of two side lines forming the predetermined corner of the printing plate to intersect the conveying direction and setting the other as a leading side in the conveying direction; a discrimination means 36 to discriminate the type of the printing plate by detecting the size of the printing plate conveyed by the conveying means 32; a pull-over means 39 for positioning the printing plate referring to the position of one of two sides making the predetermined corner of the printing plate in accordance with the type of the printing plate discriminated by the discrimination means 36. By discriminating the type of the printing plate and preliminarily positioning the position of the printing plate based on a predetermined corner to supply a punching device 23, various types of printing plates with different sizes can be processed by the same punching device 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
