<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter reducing abrasion of a shift lever with grease and preventing the grease from scattering to retain the grease for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A lever ring 71 is fitted in an outer periphery of an output shaft 5, and is provided with a recess part 71b formed to a washer contact face abutted with a lever washer 27. The recess part 71b is filled with grease. The lever ring 71 is provided with a grease scattering preventive wall 71d disposed radially outside of the washer contact face. The grease scattering preventive wall 71d is projected to a pinion side in an axial direction from an outer peripheral part of the lever ring 71, and the height of the projection is set to be thicker than the lever washer 27. Since the grease scattering to the outer periphery is received by the action of the centrifugal force along with rotation of the lever washer 27, the grease does not flow out early to retain the grease for a long period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
